A large part of my success in athletics was due to the practical approach that I took to any problem that came my way. Whether it was sorting through the challenges of managing the daily training load or the tactics needed to be successful in a championship race, I found that this approach always worked best. Breaking each problem down into smaller and more manageable parts allowed me to stay calm and see that the finish line was in sight. The skills that I developed over my career helped me to navigate safely past the various obstacles that every athlete confronts when pushing to be their best. I draw upon these experiences from my years of competing at the high school level on through the professional ranks when teaching others how to do the same. It is my goal to help each any every athlete I work with to make grounded decisions that further their performance both in athletics and life.
