Andy Potts

For over twenty three years, Andy Potts has been one of the most versatile triathletes in the world. He has reached the highest level of sport by becoming an Olympian, Paralympic Guide, World Champion, Ironman and Ironman 70.3 Champion. Andy has consistently been ranked as one of the best triathletes to ever race and is one of the winningest triathletes with a resume that few can rival: 32x 70.3 wins, 8 Ironman wins, 6x Escape from Alcatraz victories, and a Pan Am Games championship are among his list of many accomplishments. Andy began his sporting career as a swimmer and became a stand out on both the US National Team and the University of Michigan. Using his swimming base, he had a quick rise in the sport of triathlon, rocketing onto the US Olympic Team in 2004, which led to an enduring career. He prides himself on his hard work, dedication, perseverance, and uses his platform with AP Racing to give back to the sport by teaching, coaching and inspiring others to reach their goals. “I am humble and grateful to serve the sporting world as an athlete, coach and fan."

specialist statement

As a triathlete and coach I hope to help inspire, coach, engage, and educate athletes of all ages & abilities to reach their true potential. I'm a glass half full kind of guy and I can help you find the best in a situation. As an athlete I've failed so much because I was willing to risk a lot to learn. Learn from my failures in a pursuit of excellence over a 23 year career . As a Coach I'm committed to helping each athlete find a way to get to their best.
